The firm has recently agreed a deal with a local hospital radio station to become their main sponsor. Roch Valley Radio was formed in 2006 from the amalgamation of Birch Radio in Rochdale, HFM in Heywood and the hospital radio service provided by the Bury Lions Club. The station now broadcasts to Fairfield Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary and Springhill Hospice.
Andy Hargreaves, Secretary at Roch Valley, said:
"Roch Valley Radio are delighted to work with Russell and Russell Solicitors! It means a valuable partnership for the station with much needed financial help from the firm but most importantly it means a great opportunity for our listeners to be able to gain valuable expert legal knowledge whilst recovering in hospital and peace of mind that there is a reputable and local company like Russell and Russell out there ready to help them."
Things have moved quickly and the station is now broadcasting "The Russell & Russell Hour" on a regular basis, offering free legal advice to listeners on a regularly changing series of subjects.
Jane Penman, one of the Partners at Russell & Russell said:
"We are really very happy to be given the opportunity to support such a worthwhile local venture. All of the people at Roch Valley are volunteers and when you are in the studios, you get a real sense of purpose and dedication from everyone involved. We look forward to working with the team at Roch Valley to provide ongoing support to the local community."
