Amanda read Law at Manchester Metropolitan University and attained a 2:1 law degree followed by a Legal Practice Course.
She joined Russell & Russell as a trainee solicitor in 1990, becoming a partner in 1997. In 2000 Amanda became Head of the Family Department.
Amanda is an accredited specialist with Resolution (formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association), an organisation of 5000 lawyers who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. As a member of the Law Society's Children's Panel, she is also an accredited specialist within care proceedings.
Interests outside work include horse-riding, travelling and reading.
